Mange Ferraille
Formé en 2014 par Anthony Fleury (ex Fordamage), Thibault Florent (So-lo-lo / Nist-Nah) et Etienne Ziemniak (Electric Vocuhila / BGZ Trio / Carnalisme), Mange Ferraille réunit trois parcours musicaux très différents et plusieurs approches souvent antinomiques. Celles de l’autodidactie et de l'académisme, celles du rock DIY et du Jazz, celles de l'écriture et de l'improvisation. Le groupe compose collectivement, expérimente, s'enregistre, trie, pour obtenir des formats longs qui tentent de préserver le fil de la transe sans jamais le rompre. Il en résulte une musique (quasi) instrumentale, mécanique et épurée mais néanmoins puissante et captivante. L’instrumentarium pourrait être un classique du rock : guitare, basse/baryton, batterie mais deux orgues contribuent à le singulariser. Par le biais de techniques étendues et d’un rapport physique intense avec l’instrument, Mange Ferraille obtient des matières sonores inattendues qui poussent l’auditeur dans ses retranchements et les organise de manière à en extraire tout leur potentiel hypnotique. Ils enregistrent leur premier album éponyme en janvier 2017. Erba spontanea est leur second album, une pièce de 40 minutes en 4 volets enregistrée en janvier 2020.

Formed in 2014 by Anthony Fleury (Fordamage), Thibault Florent (So-lo-lo / Nist-Nah) and Etienne Ziemniak (Electric Vocuhila / BGZ Trio / Carnalisme), Mange Ferraille brings together three very distinctive backgrounds and many different - and sometimes contradictory - approaches: self-taught and academic, DIY rock and jazz, written and improvised. The band writes everything together, experiments, records, sorts things out, all to create long formats that seek to keep the trance going. The result is - almost - instrumental music, mechanical and refined but also powerful and exciting. Instrumentation is that of a typical rock band: guitar, bass/baritone guitar, drums, but the use of two organs contributes to the unique sound. Using an elaborate technique and an intense physicality with the instrument, Mange Ferraille squeezes all the hypnotic potential out of an unexpected sound matter that throws the listener in at the deep end. The band recorded their first album in January 2017. Erba spontanea is their second album, a 40-minute composition in four parts recorded in January 2020.
